Assortment & Buying department re-certified for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

In March, our external auditing partner Bureau Veritas performed a “Recertification audit” for two international standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System). During the audit, which happens every three years, auditors check that we continue to fulfil the challenging requirements of both standards.

Rimi Baltic Assortment & Buying department is certified for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standarts since 2015. We have renewed these certifications for another three years, with much praise from the external auditors on how the unit runs core business and sustainability. For our Indirect Sourcing (Not-For-Resale) unit it was the first audit, and also they earned the well-deserved ISO certifications.

“Last year we set the ambition in the A&B Management team that we want to reach the state where we no longer have to prepare for an ISO audit. We simply explain to the auditors how we work on a daily basis, and how this IMS system is embedded into our team’s DNA. Based on the feedback and the fact of re-certification for the third time since 2015 proves that we have reached our ambition and we are truly running a world-class Assortment and Buying function, which I am personally very proud of,” says Judit Campos, Assortment & Buying Director.

Our A&B unit uses both standards as a framework for managing sustainability and organizational development. It describes how we plan and do our work, how we follow-up on results, and how we continuously improve our management system.
“Every day a little better” not only four our customers, but also in our internal processes!
